What happens during the first session?

All sessions are one-on-one in a private treatment room. Your first visit includes a thorough medical history review and assessment, followed by hands-on Myofascial Release treatment. Before you leave, you’ll receive personalized self-care strategies to support your healing.

What should I wear to my first session?

Wear or bring loose, comfortable clothing that allows for proper movement and accessibility.
• Women: Sports bra or tank top with gym shorts, or a two-piece bathing suit.
• Men: Loose-fitting t-shirt and gym shorts.
Please avoid using lotions or creams before your session.

How many sessions will I need?

Healing varies from person to person. Most clients benefit from more frequent sessions initially, often a few times per week, and then taper down to every other week and eventually monthly maintenance.
Many people see significant relief within 1–3 sessions, though uncovering the root cause may take longer.
We also offer intensive packages.

Will my entire body be treated?

Yes. Restrictions in one area can affect others. For example, knee pain might originate from the hips or shoulders.
Our approach begins at the site of your symptoms and then expands treatment to other areas as needed for comprehensive healing.

Is MFR a form of Physical Therapy?

Yes and no. While commonly practiced by physical therapists, professionals from various fields also use MFR. At Relief Re-Imagined, our clinicians are licensed physical or occupational therapists trained in the Myofascial Release method.
The choice of provider may affect insurance reimbursement; please refer to our insurance details.

How is MFR different from massage?

MFR targets the fascial system’s restrictions rather than just symptom relief. Gentle, sustained pressure (typically around five minutes or more) helps soften the fascia and address the root cause of pain and dysfunction, leading to true healing.

What are the client responsibilities/policies?

  • A valid credit card is required to secure appointment reservations and will be held on-file for future visits. Visa and Mastercard are accepted, including HSA and FSA.

  • Patients must provide a 48-hour advance notification to cancel or reschedule appointments. If less than 48-hours notice is given, the patient will be held accountable for the full amount of the service charged to the credit card on file.
